Object Editing

Provides options to manage and edit objects on the selected map. These objects include those automatically detected by the robot and those added manually. While the editor displays the Home Screen live map, certain objects are stored within the saved map data depending on the device generation.

Action Buttons

Provides options to add new objects to the map. The action buttons update dynamically based on the active object editing mode.

Object Type Selector

Provides object editing modes. The selector populates options like Furniture, Carpet, or Predefined Points based on the vacuum model's capabilities.

Switching edit modes with unsaved changes triggers a confirmation dialog to save or discard the work.

State Persistence

The selector remembers the last used editing state and defaults to it upon reopening the page.

Consecutive Edits

Clicking the Save () icon applies changes and navigates back to the previous screen. To edit multiple object types consecutively without leaving the editor, select the next mode from the selector instead of clicking save. Choosing to save the changes in the resulting confirmation dialog applies the edits and transitions into the new mode.

Restricted Areas

Provides options to manage No-Go zones, No-Mop zones and Virtual Wall objects.

Restricted Area

Action buttons on the right side add new restricted objects. Tapping an existing object on the map activates it, enabling movement to a new location or dragging its handles to adjust dimensions.

Carpets

Provides options to manage carpets on the map. This includes adding Square Carpet or Round Carpet on supported devices and adjusting the size and location of existing carpets.

Carpet Edit

The Deleted Carpet option adds override areas to permanently ignore incorrectly detected carpets. Tapping the Delete () icon below an auto-detected carpet instantly covers it with a deleted carpet area, stopping the robot from detecting carpets in that region. These override areas can also be placed over sections of an existing carpet to modify its shape.

Configuring specific cleaning settings and carpet types for added carpets on supported devices is handled via the Customized Carpet Settings section on the Home Screen.

Visual Indicator

Portions of a detected carpet falling inside a deleted carpet area display a red highlight to indicate they are overridden.

Changing Carpet Shapes

On devices supporting round carpets, selecting an existing carpet and using the action buttons toggles its shape between a square and a circle.

Deleted Carpet Areas

Unlike the official app, which hides and restricts the placement of deleted carpet areas, this card provides full visibility and control to add, view and remove these overrides.

Furniture

Provides options to manage 3D furniture detected by the device's camera. Clicking the Add () action button opens the furniture type selector to place a new item on the map.

Quick Access

Tapping any furniture on the Home Screen while the global task type is active reveals an Edit (edit) icon to access this editor directly.

IMPORTANT

Furniture objects influence the robot's AI to optimize cleaning strategies and improve obstacle avoidance. Specialized items like pet furniture enable targeted tasks and specific cleaning settings.

NOTE

The Furniture section in the Legend contains a complete list of supported furniture types and icons.

Virtual Thresholds and Ramps

Provides options to manage line-shaped objects representing virtual thresholds and ramps on supported devices. The interface supports adding Passable Threshold, Impassable Threshold and Ramp lines based on device capabilities. The robot adjusts routing strategies around these objects to navigate complex floor transitions.

Threshold EditThreshold Edit

Curtains

Provides options to manage line-shaped objects indicating curtain locations. Adding a Curtain line instructs the robot to adopt specialized routing strategies, cleaning behind and around the curtains rather than treating them as solid walls.

Low-Lying Areas

Work in Progress

Editing low-lying areas is currently unsupported by the dreame_vacuum integration yet.

Predefined Points

Provides options to define custom coordinate points for frequent destinations on devices with camera streaming capabilities. These points act as shortcuts and do not influence the robot's routing or general cleaning behavior.

Predefined Point Edit

Tapping any valid floor area adds a new point. Tapping an existing point activates it for dragging to a new location.

Saved predefined points appear during Spot Cleaning and Go To task modes on the Home Screen. Storing these points within the map data allows referencing them in Home Assistant automations.

Placement Restrictions

The editor restricts point placement to prevent errors. It blocks adding or dragging points to invalid locations like non-floor areas, or outside map boundaries.
