Live Map Information

The Live Map Information panel within the card configuration dialog is used to display the map's real-time rendering metrics alongside the precise data representations of its objects.

The top section of the panel displays real-time metrics for both the map state and the card's viewport. This includes the map's raw dimensions and rotation, as well as the viewport's real size, scale factor and center reference points. It also exposes the exact location of the map's 0,0 coordinate origin. This specific coordinate data is essential for manually aligning the map or custom images using the Centering and Scaling parameters within a Custom Map Configuration.

Beneath the map state metrics, the panel reveals the precise data representations of any objects currently selectable or editable within the active mode, including their exact coordinates. These representations directly reflect the exact parameters passed to various integration services. This information can be extracted for use in custom Home Assistant automations, or preserved as backups to manually restore specific map objects at a later time.
